RSM US Chief Economist Joe Brusuelas discusses the impact of Brexit on the British pound with Simon Hart, RSM UK lead Brexit partner. “I don’t think the U.K. can afford to wait,” says Brusuelas about the need for a resolution to Britain’s impending withdrawal from the European Union. “They need to act now.”

Removing what Brusuelas dubs “the uncertainty tax” hanging over the British economy through a clearly defined Brexit deal will likely lift the pound and provide “much needed relief” to U.K. businesses, he says.
